Free 1 hour guided vineyard tour. This is an event for all the family to enjoy: the vineyard covers 14 acres of vines growing 7 different varieties of grape, together with a lovely nature walk down to the Thames river. Nesting buzzards, red kites, swans, grebes and coots in residence!

At the end of the tour guests can sample the award winning wines produced by the vineyard in our on-site shop, open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12 – 6pm.

Vine Bud Rubbing & Winery Tasting Experience
Tues 1st & Weds 2nd June 11 am – 3.30pm

This is the opportunity to experience hands-on the work carried out in the vineyard in Spring to ensure that the vines produce grapes of the finest quality.
Bud rubbing involves removing the small shoots (buds) that grow at the base of the vine. This event will involve ground level physical work. Tuition will be provided by Denbies vineyard team. Max. 1 hour session.
Hard wearing garden gloves essential. Not suitable for people with back problems.

Followed by a wine tasting in the Denbies winery with Denbies wine expert and lunch in The Cubitt Tasting Room.

Come and visit this beautiful vineyard set in the grounds of Ickworth House

Visitors can come in from 11am to 4pm, walk the self guided trail, taking in the wonderful view of the vineyard from across the lake and ending up at the gazebo in the vineyard for wine tasting and a short talk. They can hear how English wine is gaining in popularity and how English sparkling wine is now a force to be reckoned with. Children have activities to do while they go round the trail and get grape juice at the wine tasting gazebo while their parents taste the wines. Costs are £3.50 for adults and 50p for children (please note that if you are not an NT member, there is a charge to enter the park, payable at the kiosk on entry. For details click here).
